Trip Itinerary

 

Your trip starts in Nairobi 

 

Day 1 - Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International airport

 

  • Reach Nairobi by the afternoon. 

  • Check in freshen up and spend the rest of the day at your hotel.
    Overnight stay in Nairobi.

Day 2 - Nairobi – Masai Mara (Approximately 5-6Hours’ Drive)

  • Morning pick up from your Nairobi hotel and begin your Kenya safari adventure to the world famous.

  • Drive through the stunning & scenic Great Rift Valley with a brief stopover to admire the breathtaking views.

  • Arrive at the lodge in time for check in and lunch.

  • Day at Leisure to enjoy the facilities the lodge has to offer before heading out for a thrilling introductory evening game drive in the Magnificent Masai Mara.

  • Return to the Lodge for Dinner and Overnight Stay.

Day 3 - Masai Mara 

  • Early morning breakfast and depart the lodge with your packed lunch boxes for a full day game viewing across the rich tree studded grassland and rolling hills.

  • At lunchtime, our guide will pick a scenic (and safe) spot where you will enjoy your lunch and hear animals howling, birds chirping
    and the mighty Mara River flowing across the savannah bringing life to the park.

  • After watching more of the spectacle that never gets dull, transfer back to your lodge.

  • Dinner and overnight stay in Masai Mara.

Day  4 - Masai Village Visit 

  • A visit to a Maasai Boma (Masai village tour) is an interesting experience.

  • On arrival at the village, you can expect to be greeted in the traditional manner, excited children and adults welcome you with song and dance.

  • Get a wonderful opportunity to learn about the history, culture and lifestyle of these Maasai.

  • There is also the opportunity to learn about some of the customary practices, such as fire-making or beadwork, and to speak to the villagers in their homes.

  • Dinner and overnight stay in Masai Mara.

Day 5 - Masai Mara - Isebania – (Approximately a 4 Hours’ Drive)

  • Depart after early breakfast with lunch box driving to the Tanzania/Kenya border of Isebania/ Sirare to arrive from 1200hrs onwards and proceed to Serengeti National Park.

  • Boarder formalities and thereafter proceed to the End-less plain of The Serengeti.

  • Serengeti National Park formalities and transfer to your lodge with game drive en-route.

  • Check in at the lodge and enjoy dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6 & 7 - Serengeti National Park 

  • Relax with 2-full day in the endless plain of Serengeti with game drives – unequalled for its beauty and home to the Great Wildebeest Migration.

  • Depending on your preference, there are a couple of options with regards to how your day is structured in the Serengeti.

  • One option could be to start your day with an early Morning Balloon excursion followed with picnic breakfast at the end, second option is to break camp early and head out with a picnic breakfast on a morning game drive, returning to camp in time for lunch.

  • Alternatively, you can eat breakfast in camp and head out with a picnic lunch on an afternoon game drive, returning in the mid-afternoon.

  • In the evening transfer back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

 Day 8 -Serengeti | Ndutu in Ngorongoro Conservation Area 

  • Enjoy a full day game drive in the Ndutu area. Explore the range of different habitats that include swamps, woodland, soda lakes and the world-famous Serengeti/Ngorongoro Conservation area short grass plains. See great herds of wildebeest and zebra.

  • The marshes and lakes support a huge variety of bird life as well as resident lion prides.

  • Cheetahs are abundant in the plains, and the wooded ridges are always productive.

  • Overnight Ngorongoro conservation area (with lunch, dinner & breakfast)


 Day 9 - Ngorongoro Crater

  • After an early breakfast, pack your bags and depart with your driver to Ngorongoro Crater, an early start to the day is best in order to avoid the later influx of tourists into the Ngorongoro Crater.

  • The park gate opens at 0600, so it is best to be there as close to this time as possible.

  • The Ngorongoro Crater is a large, unbroken, un-flooded caldera, formed when a giant volcano erupted and collapsed some three million years ago.
  • Many of Tanzania’s last remaininblack rhino can be seen grazing on the open grassland of the crater floor, surrounded by some of
    the 25,000 large animals that occupy the crater, including lion, cheetah, wildebeest, eland,  zebra and gazelle.
  • Flamingo, among other bird species, can often be seen feeding at Makat Soda  Lake as well.
  • Afternoon drive to your lodge for your overnight stay. (with lunch, dinner & breakfast).

Day 10 - Arusha Air Strip

  • After breakfast, pack your bags, depart camp transfer to Arusha air strip.

  • Here you will bid your guide farewell as you board your flight to Zanzibar.

  • Meet and greet upon arrival at Zanzibar airport exit point by our team, pick up and transfer to your Zanzibar hotel.

  • Check in freshen up and spend the rest of the day at your hotel, where you’ll have free time to relax or have leisure walks on the beach.

  • Once refreshed you will then make your way to the dining area for dinner. Overnight stay in Zanzibar Dinner & Breakfast included)

Day 11 - Zanzibar  - Leisure Day 

  • There are a variety of optional activities available.

  • Your days are therefore open to be structured as you choose, with either as much relaxing by the pool, or as many activities as you wish.

  • Option 1: JOZANI & SPICE TOUR

  • Option 3: Nakupenda Tour
  • Option 4: CITY TOUR & SHOPPING
  • Dinner and stay overnight back at your Hotel.

Day 12 - Departure - Zanzibar - Airport

  • After breakfast, you will depart to Zanzibar International Airport for your flight home or connecting to Dar es Salaam, Julius Nyerere International Airport, you will then catch your international flight and bid farewell to your guide for your onward journey.

  • The trip ends here.

  • You would be traveling with other people, you have to respect everyone's privacy.

  • We have a plan/itinerary for the whole trip but some things might get changed according to the situation please be prepared. (like flight delays etc)

  • No refund in case of cancellation of flights or interconnecting flights/trains.

  • We would be staying in a backpacker hostel all the time and would be sharing the room with other people, you are responsible for your own stuff and yourself
